Our History

The first "blast chamber" was built in the mid 90's to fill a need for noiseless  blasting while hardening railroad castings in rural Danvers, Illinois.  A few short years later, a different need for a similar device would arise- a safe way to dispose of UXO's.  The inventor, John Donovan, jumped at this opportunity.  With a few quick design changes, the Donovan Blast Containment unit was born.  

Since then, we have been around the globe destroying dangerous items and munitions.  Here is just a short list of our past cleanups and locations:
